Part I - Tuesday - Tending the Altar of Incense - Exodus 30:1-5 - 12/13/16

The altar of incense.

Verse 1 ... AND thou shalt make ... an altar ...

Exodus 40:5 ... (Moses is commanded to set up the tabernacle.) And thou shalt set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the testimony, & put the hanging of the door of the tabernacle.


Verse 1 ... to burn incense upon: of shittim wood thou shalt make it.

Revelation 8:3 ... And another angel came & stood at the altar, having a golden censor; & there was given him much incense, that he should (add it to the prayers) offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.


Exodus 30:2 ... A cubit shall be the length thereof, & a cubit the breadth thereof; foursquare shall it be: & two cubits shall be the heights thereof: the horns thereof shall be of the same.


Exodus 30:3 ... And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, the (roof) top thereof, & the (walls) sides thereof round about, & the horns thereof; & thou shalt make unto it a crown of gold round about it.


Exodus 30:4 ... And two golden rings shalt thou make it to under the crown of it, by the two (ribs) corners thereof, upon the two sides of it shalt thou make it; & they shall be for places for the staves to bear it withal.


Exodus 30:5 ... And thou shalt make the staves of shittim wood, & overlay them with gold.

Part III - Aaron & Sons, a Perpetual Priesthood - Exodus 40:19-25 - 12/12/16

Verse 19 ... And he spread abroad the tent over the tabernacle, & put the covering of the tent above upon it; as the LORD commanded Mo'ses.


Verse 20 ... And he took the & put ... the testimony into the ark, set the staves on the ark, & put the mercy seat upon the ark:

Exodus 25:16 ... (The form of the ark.) And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.


Exodus 40:21 ... And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, & ... set up the veil of the covered the ark of the testimony: as the LORD commanded Mo'ses.

Exodus 35:12 ... (The free gifts for the tabernacle.) The ark, & the staves thereof, with the mercy seat, & the veil of the covering;


Exodus 40:22 ... And he put the table in the tent of the congregation, ... upon the side of the tabernacle northward, without the veil.

Exodus 26:35 ... (The veil for the ark.) And thou shalt set the table without the veil, & the candlestick over against the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south: & thou shalt put the table on the north side.


Exodus 40:23 ... And he set the bread in order upon it before the LORD; as the LORD had commanded Mo'ses.

Exodus 40:4 ... (Moses is commanded to set up the tabernacle.) And thou shalt bring in the table, & set in order (the order thereof) the things that are to be set in order upon it; & thou shalt bring in the candlestick, & light the lamps thereof.


Exodus 40:24 ... And he put the candlestick in the tent of the congregation, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.


Exodus 40:25 ... And he lighted the lamps before the LORD; as the LORD commanded Mo'ses.

Part II - Aaron & Sons, a Perpetual Priesthood - Exodus 40:13-18 -12/12/16

Verse 13 ...And thou shalt put Aa'ron him; on the holy garments, ...and anoint him, & sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.

Exodus 28:41 ... (The garments for Aa'rons sons)And thou shalt put them upon Aa'ron thy brother, & his sons with him: & shalt anoint them, & (fill their hand) consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.


Exodus 40:14 ... And thou shalt bring his sons, & clothe them with coats:


Exodus 40:15 ... And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: for their anointing shall surely be ... an everlasting priesthood throughout their generation.


Exodus 40:16 ... Thus did Mo'ses: according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he.


Exodus 40:17 ... And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the ... tabernacle was reared up.

Numbers 7:1 ... (The offering of the princes of the dedication of the tabernacle.) AND it came to pass on the day that Mo'ses had fully set up the tabernacle, & had anointed it, & sanctified it, & all the instruments thereof, both the altar & all the vessels thereof, & had anointed them, & sanctified them;


Exodus 40:18 ... And Mo'ses reared up the tabernacle, & fastened his sockets, & set up the boards thereof, & put in the bars thereof, & reared up his pillars.

Part I - Monday - Aaron & Sons, a Perpetual Priesthood - Exodus 40:12 - 12/12/16

Verse 12 ... And thou shalt bring Aa'ron & his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, & wash them with water.

Leviticus 8:1-13 ... (Moses consecrated Aaron & his sons.) AND the LORD spake unto Mo'ses saying,

Take Aa'ron & his sons with him, & the garments, & the anointing oil, & a bullock for the sin offering, & two rams, & a basket of unleavened bread;

And gather thou all the congregation together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

And Mo'ses did as the LORD commanded him: & the assembly was gathered together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

And Mo'ses said unto the congregation, This is the thing which the LORD commanded to be done.

And Mo'ses brought Aa'ron & his sons, & washed them with water.

And he put upon him the coat, & girded him with the girdle, & clothed him with the robe, & put the ephod upon him, & he girded him with the curious girdle of the ephod, & bound it unto him there with.

And he put the breastplate upon him: also he put in the breastplate he U'rim & Thum'mim.

And he put the mitre upon his head; also upon the mitre, even upon his forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the LORD commanded Mo'ses.

And Mo'ses took the anointing oil, & anointed the tabernacle & all that was therein, & sanctified them.

And he sprinkled thereof of upon the altar seven times, & anointed the altar & all his vessels, both the laver & his foot, to sanctify them.

And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aa'ron's head, & anointed him, to sanctify him.

And Mo'ses brought Aa'ron's sons, & put coats upon them, & girded them with girdles, & (bound) put bonnets upon them; as the LORD commanded Mo'ses.

Sunday - The Affirmation (truth) of the Promise - Luke 1:39-56 - 12/11/16

Verse 39 ... And Ma'ry arose in those days, & went into the hill country with haste, ... into a city of Ju'da;

Joshua 21:9-11 ... And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Ju'dea, & out of the tribe of the children of Sim'e-on, these cities which are here (called)mentioned by name.

Which the children of A'aron, being of the families of the Ko-hath-ites, who were of the children of Le'vi, had: for theirs was the first lot.

And they gave them (Kirjath-arba) the city of Arba the father of A'nak, which city is He'bron, in the hill country of Ju'dea, with the suburbs thereof round about it.


Luke 1:40 ... And entered into the house of Zach-a-ro'as, & saluted E-lis'a-beth.


Luke 1:41 ...And it came to pass, that, when E-lis'a-beth heard the salutation of Ma'ry, the babe leaped in her womb; & E-lis'a-bethwas filled with the Holy Ghost:

Luke 1:54 ... He hath holpen his servant Is'ra-el, ... in remembrance of his mercy;

Psalm 98:3 ... (An exhortation to praise God for his salvation. A Psalm.) He hath rembered his mercy & his truth toward the house of Is'ra-el: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

Saturday - Mary Delivers Her Firstborn - Luke 2:5-7 - 12/10/16

The taxation. The birth of Jesus at Bethlehem.

Verse 5 ... To be taxed with Ma'ry ... his espoused wife, being great with child.

Matthew 1:18 ... (The virgin Mary, while espoused to Joseph, conceived by the Holy Ghost.) Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on the wise: When as his mother Ma'ry was espoused to Jo'seph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.


Luke 2:6 ... And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.


Luke 2:7 ... And ... she brought forth her firstborn son, & wrapped in swaddling clothes, & laid him in a manager; because there was no room for them in the inn.

Matthew 1:18 ... (The birth of Jesus.) And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: & he called his name JESUS.

Verse 13 ... And when they departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Jo'seph in a dream, saying, Arise, & take the young child & his mother & flee into E'gypt, & be thou there until I bring thee word: for Her'od will seek the young child to destroy him.


Verse 14 ... When he arose, he took the young child & his mother by night, & departed into E'gypt:


Verse 15 ... And was there until the death of Her'od: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, ... Out of E'gypt have I called my son.

Hosea 11:1 ... (God's goodness To Is'ra-el, & their ingratitude) WHEN Is'ra-el was a child, then I loved him, & called my son out of E'gypt.


Luke 2:1-4 ... (The taxation)

Verse 1 ... AND it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Ce'sar Au-gus'tus, that all the world should be (enrolled) taxed.


Verse 2 ... (And this taxing was first made when Cy-re'ni-us was governor of Syr'i-a.)

Acts 5:37 ... (Gamaliel's advice) After this man rose up Ju'das of Gal'i-lee in the days of the taxing, & drew aaway much people after him: he also perished; & all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.


Luke 2:3 ... And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
