Jesus then gave what has come to be known as HIS Olivet prophecy. HE did outline a series of trends and events that would happen and lead up to HIS return. Jesus gave a specific sign that would show the very end of this age, a time when Jerusalem would be surround by armies, "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, "HE said in the Book of Luke then you will know that its desolation is near. Luke 21:20...And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Mark 13:14...But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains.
