Sunday - All Creation Overflows with Praise - Psalm/Tehillim 96:1-6, 10-13 - 1/8/17

An exhortation to praise God, for his goodness, & for the establishment of his kingdom in the world.

Verse 1 ... O SING unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.

I Chronicles 16:23-33 ... (The psalm of thanksgiving.)


Psalm 96:2 ... Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.


Psalm 96:3 ... Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.


Psalm 96:4 ... For the LORD is great, &

Psalm 145:3 ... (The psalmist praiseth God for his greatness,) Great is the LORD, & greatly to be praised, (and of his greatness there is no search.) & his greatness is unsearchable.


Psalm 96:4 ... greatly to be praised:

Psalm 18:3 ... (The psalmist praiseth God for wonderful deliverances.) I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.


Psalm 96:4 ... he is to be feared above all gods.

Psalm 95:3 ... (An exhortation to praise God for his greatness,) For the LORD is a great God, & a great King above all gods.


Psalm 96:5 ... For all the gods of the nations are idols.

Jeremiah 10:11,12 ... (The people warned not to learn the way of the heathen.)


Psalm 96:6 ... Honour & majesty are before him: strength & ... beauty are in his sanctuary.

Psalm 29:2 ... Give unto the LORD (the honour of his name.) the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD (in his glorious sanctuary.) in the beauty of holiness.


Psalm 96:10 ... Say among the heathen that ... the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved:

Psalm 97:1 ... (The majesty & power of God.) THE LORD reigneth; let the (many, or great isles) multitude of isles be glad thereof.

Psalm 96:12 ... Let the field be joyful, & all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice.


Psalm 96:13 ... Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: ... he shall judge the world with righteousness, & the people with his truth.


Psalm 19:11 ... (The Word of God with his armies.) And I saw heaven opened, & behold a white horse; & he that sat upon him was called Faithful & True, & in righteousness he doth judge & make war.
